Global Irish Design Challenge [GIDC] was launched in 2015 to celebrate of Irish design innovation and activate a global network of talent across Ireland and extending worldwide. Representing the best of Irish design innovation in every form 80 selected entries will be showcased in a high-profile Global Irish Design Challenge exhibition at the Coach House in Dublin Castle opening on June 15th, continuing until August 27th 2016.
This seminar Global Challenges – Design Solutions coincides with the GIDC exhibition launch exploring three of the prominent themes, which arise from the GIDC entries. Nine of the designers represented have been invited to discuss their innovative designs, which we feel have the power to change our lives and address global challenges. Key Note address will be presented by Global Irish Design Challenge judge; Hideichi Misono eminent automotive and industrial designer from Japan
